I Covet

Someday I will own one of these beauties:

Just not anytime soon. With a price tag of $499.00, it doesn't exactly fall in the "need" category. But, oh, it is glorious! I killed our vacuum getting a little too greedy with the wood chips, so I've been borrowing Becca's Dyson every few days. I never thought I'd be one of those expensive vacuum ladies, but this bad boy is amazing! Not only does it have awesome suction on both carpet and hard floors, the way it pivots in any direction is to die for!

Becca says you can get one of these puppies at Sam's Club for $350.00. So maybe in the next year or so I can justify spending that much. Until then, I guess I'll just keep being a mooch (OK, Becca?)

I saw some at Best Buy that were floor models on sale for half price... :) I LOVE mine!

Wood chips from our stove was what lead to us buying a Kirby. Best purchase ever. Look on Craigslist for either type of vacuum.

Yes, yes the Dyson. We love the Dyson. I guess I should say I love the Dyson because I'm the only one that vacuums! We bought ours a couple of years ago, although ours doesn't have the ball that pivots. And although the price is initially hard to swallow it is definitely worth it. I agree with the poster above, KSL or Craigslist probably has some good ones. Good luck!

I absolutely hate my vacuum and it's a Hoover. I've tried 4 different vacuums in the last 5 years and they all stink on hardwood floors. Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna check out the Dyson.

Consumer reports rated our $150.00 Eureka highly and as one of their best buys. It's not fancy, is a bit loud but does a really great job. All Dysons rated lower than it.

I love my Dyson. Sue you can borrow anytime, but no break-y!! I've had a Kirby and a Rainbow and neither were as good as my Dyson Ball. I do love it.

Not to worry, Becca! I've been careful to sweep up all the big wood chips first and just vacuum the fine powdery stuff. I'll probably be back Monday for another round. You're the best!
