United We Stand
Every year our school has a Veteran's Day program where the kids sing, we watch a slideshow of all our local veterans, and a flag is retired. All of the elementary kids have to write an essay for the program. In honor of our veterans and especially my Dad, I thought I would share Lily's essay.

Yes, Lily, your grandpa Garlitz was a pretty awesome soldier. He took a lot of pictures when he was in Vietnam, but I don't think he ever took one of the snake.
