Star of the Week

Lily is the Star of the Week in her kindergarten class. She's been excited about it for a long time because it's the only time you get to bring show & tell. She brought her dog Babs yesterday. Babs has been Lily's favorite snuggle friend since she got her on her fourth birthday from Nana & Papa.

We made a poster for Lily to take to school that tells all about her. We were working on the book part and she said, "Mama, this is fun. We get to spend time together." Boy, was I chagrined that it's something that seems out of the ordinary.

That is exactly the kind of thing scrapbooking should be: storytelling! I love it! And if you keep the poster (which I'm sure you will), Lily will always treasure it.

Hey, I just noticed your Perler Bead puppy. Do I get to claim some responsibility for this?

Yes Becky, you have turned my daughter and half the little girls in the neighborhood into Perler Bead fanatics! We're the cool house now!

Nice work! I love the poster. I can't wait to do projects like this with little Jane.

What a great poster! I love it - I'm sure Lily does too! But now I'm feeling so uncool, because I don't even know what Perler beads are...

I feel so proud! I wonder what new craft I can "inflict" on everyone at the next reunion? And can I get Josh to do it?

Yes, Becky you have turned us all into bunch of ironing crazy bead freaks. I donated an entire two page section of my scrap book regarding the family reunion to "Circles of fun, Circles of family, Circles of Love." My Perler bead dog has his own dog tags. I hope I can take some small responsibility to the tea parties at your house. And I too love "Barn Yard Dance".. Now bow to the donkey, and swing those chicks around.......... or something like that...

sue, you were on a blogging streak for a week or so, but now you have left us hanging. If I have to wait much longer I won't hesitate to bring out my pitchfork!
