A Vision in Purple

I may not be a working girl anymore, but that expensive photography degree hasn't completely gone to waste. Years of practice with Photoshop helped me create this invitation for Lily's birthday party on Thursday:

We only do a friend party every other year, so I try to go all out. I printed the designs on white cardstock and attached them to various colors of purple cardstock.

The majority of the elements came from this kit at Designer Digitals. I just colorized everything in Hue/Saturation to make everything Lily's favorite color. The 8 is from Jen Wilson Designs, my favorite digital scrapbooking site. And the fancy font is called Porcelain and I just downloaded it for free off the internet.

Now, if I can just pull off the horse cake and the spray painted horseshoe craft, the party should be a hit!

What a gorgeous invitation! Are real horses going to be involved in the party? You rock. I want to take lessons from you in photoshop.

Martha Stewart just called. .. she wants her ideas back. Sheeesh!! Look at how awesome you are. For G's b-day we will just get some cards from the store and pray that they get to the right person.

Can I come to Lilly's party?

Those invitations are DARLING! What a digital pro you are. I bet your daughter will love her party. Sounds so fun. And what beautiful snow pictures. You're a great photographer. So what can't you do!? :)

Erin, I'm seriously lacking in the decorating department and while I'm totally anal about my photography and my scrapbooking, my house is usually in various stages of catastrophe. I'm slowly getting better, thanks to my friends (shout out to Dragonfly and the Queen) and their great organizing and decorating ideas. As soon as Lily's party is over I'm looking forward to sitting down and scouring your Home Decor and Organization categories on your blog!

Nice work cowgirl! Those cards are great. You'll have to throw my next birthday party too :) I'll be in town March 17-30. If you are around I would love to see you!

Cami, you really must refrain from commenting when you're logged in under Brad's account. Dan's already suspicious enough about my part-timer.

Great Sue! Did you have an extra for my 'favorites' collection? Send it with Liesel if you do. Brooks
